Thank You.
The first auctions ave now finished and we managed to raise almost £90 on the first eight items. So a big thankyou to all those who bid on the auctions and helped raise money for our choosen charity of the Royal British Legion. Hopefully we will be back in the new year with another round of charity auctions.
Auctions at Last!
Slow but sure is becoming our motto, The first batch of auctions
is up along with three reviews looking at the miniatures produced
by Brigade Models. We've had a few technical difficulties setting
up the Reviewing Wargames Ebay account so the first batch of
auctions have been done via my personal account. The auctions
have still been set up with 100% of the final auction price
to charity.
The current Reviewing Wargames charity is the Royal British
Legion. Do check out the auctions, nothing has a reserve on
it so you might just grab yourself a bargin!
Back for 2011!
Well that was a hectic christmas, new year and start to the year! I certainly didn't manage to get as much done for the site as I wanted to, but we are back for 2011 and for our first update we take look at both old and new miniatures. For the new we have Khurasan miniatures T-Rex and Cavacade's Amatzl Captain and Project Good's new wargame. We also take a look at some plastic miniatures. The old (but cheap) EM4 Steel Warriors. We are now concentrating on getting te first auctions underway. This has been the part of the project that ha taken the longest to organise. But all our efforts are now going into putting our review items on Ebay.
We would like to thank all those who have donated items for their patience.
Fourth Batch of Reviews Published
Well here we are with another set of reviews. Our launch back
in August seems such a long time ago now. But in that short
time our popularity has grown, with just over 14,000 pages views
from nearly 3000 unique vistors!
We've got reviews of GZG 15mm Sci-Fi, New game Zombie-a-go-go
and some plastic Gripping Beast Vikings to come.
If any companies would like their products reviewed then do
get in touch.
More reviews, more supporting companies and a logo!
I'm glad to say the reviews are continuing and more companies
have pledged their support for Reviewing Wargames.
We now have the support of 29 companies and are busy working
on more reviews. So a big thank you to all those companies and
our team of reviewers for the work they have put in.
We also now have a logo for Reviewing Wargames (we look more
official now!), so again thanks to Toby (you know who you are
;) for that.
If you would like to offer Reviewing Wargames your support or
would like to comment on any aspect of the site and reviews,
please get in touch.
Auctions on the way
We are just about to publish our third set of reviews so that
part of Reviewing Wargames is going well. However the tricky
part has been sorting out the logistics of running the auctions.
Our reviewers are rather dispersed and we are looking at the
best ways of running the auctions while saving on postage fees,
to ensure as much of the auction price goes to charity.
For the meantime we will keep publishing the reviews and hope
to have the auctions up and running in the next month or so.
