What do you get?
While looking for various japanese style plastic robot kits
I came across this model of a proposed secret German tank from
WW2. I thought it had some good potential so took a chance on
it.
As you can see the model came fairly complete with just one
sprue containing the ariel mast and extra gun turrets. Should
also say the model comes pre-painted in a fairly simple but
effective scheme (including some decals and a slogan along the
side. "Herr des Himmels!" which according to Yahoo
Babelfish means "Master of the Sky" but a Google search
said "God/Lord in Heaven", so I'm none the wiser.
The model its self is 45mm long, 20mm wide and 32mm high (including
mast).
How does it assemble?
There was practically no assembly required. Once you have removed the parts from the sprue it is just a case of sticking the turrets and mast into the holes provided. I haven't even bothered to glue mine together. The main turret comes already attached and can be rotated or taken off complete should you wish. The sprue does come with more choices than you can place on the main body i.e. there are three of the smaller turrets but only really two places to put those turrets.
This is what the completed model looks like. As said although there would be nothing stopping you changing the make up of which part went where. There is only really one way to assemble the parts.

Getting in close and you can see the level of detail on the model is very good, you can see in the picture various ladders, stairs, panels and even the rivets.
The underside of the model showing the four tracks in detail.
To help with the scale of the model it's shown here with a 2mm scale French Ironclad miniature from Brigade Models and below with a 6mm infantryman also from Brigade Models.
The final word.
Overall the model is very good and would work well for either Victorian
Sci-Fi games or to repaint it as a Sci-Fi tank (for 2mm-6mm scales),
but it is not currently in production and so availability is via
places like Ebay and more often than not from suppliers in Japan.
Also the price at around £6.50 puts this at the top end of
such models The price is mainly because these are aimed at the collectors
market, hence the set of three different colour schemes you can
get.
